Steve Bone, President and Founder of Grandview Building Group brings over 25 years of experience in Custom Home Building & Design along with 14 years experience building in a highly successful Master Planned Community in Williamson County. Steve has built several hundred single family homes & townhomes, as well as commercial buildings here in the Tennessee area.
One of Steve’s first ventures here in TN was as Vice President for Southeastern Building Corporation in Hendersonville, TN. Steve was directly responsible for the planning, design, and building of single-family homes priced between $200,000- 500,000 in subdivisions such as Wyncrest, Wynbrooke, Wynridge, Brentwood Cove & more as well as participated in land acquisition & development in the area. Steve created successful operating systems, policies and procedures and was responsible for overseeing the sales & marketing staff.
In 2003, Steve was hired as Vice President of Operations for Ford Custom Classic Homes. A rather new company at that time, Steve was responsible for building a strong team both in the office as well as the field. Steve was responsible for plan revisions and review, the development and implementation of operation systems to include the Purchase Order Systems and Scheduling Programs, vendor and subcontractor placements, warranty programs, change order policies and procedures as well as training programs for sales staff on their products and the home building process.
In Approx. 2003, Ford Custom Classic Homes was presented an opportunity to purchase lots in the first Master Planned, Mixed-use Community in Williamson County by Southern Land Company Developers. Although the concept was unproven and untested in the current local market, Steve embraced the concept and worked diligently with Southern Land Company to achieve the Vision of the developer. This vision included narrow lots, alley loaded product, special architectural details, A. R.C review, and revisions, approved landscape budgeting, including plant layout and species, pre-determined Finish Floor Elevations, streetscapes, window placement to conform to “specific use of easements” and Centralized Sales.
