Andy Martin, VP of Operations, brings over18 years experience as a Professional Residential Builder, Purchasing Manager and Project Manager to Grandview Building Group. Andy’s extensive experience includes Owner/Builder of his own company as well as over 15 years as a Purchasing Manager and Project Manager for construction corporations with annual revenues in excess of $10 million.
Andy is an expert at managing the progress of building projects at all stages, maintaining quality and cost controls, office budgets as well as acting as a liaison to financial officers. Andy develops and has implemented policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with government regulations, engineering drawings and customer specifications. He is a skilled negotiator in price reductions with subcontractors and suppliers resulting in huge company savings. Andy negotiates purchase orders for all production materials as well as the development of purchasing agreements and contracts with suppliers and customers. He orchestrates weekly planning meetings and is instrumental in hiring, scheduling and directing outside contractors. Andy has a successful background in working closely with financial officers and sales teams to plan, direct and coordinate activities of designated projects.
During the time Andy owned his own company, he was Green Building LEED Certified and on the Board of Directors for Rutherford County Building Association. Andy has established a track record of success while demonstrating excellent management and leadership abilities. His experience provides a broad base for understanding the ever-changing construction industry and makes him a valuable asset to our team and he will be instrumental in ensuring excellent quality while keeping projects within budget.
